Il Monelo in Peapack-Gladstone

This has been one of the best kept secrets of the Peapack area in New Jersey for quite a while. The food here is excellent. The Ambiance is romantic and relaxing and elegant. The owner is charismatic and the wait staff is friendly and helpful. Always a favorite and a perfect choice for a celebration or special occasion because they make you feel special whether it's a special occasion or not

Amazing food, great ambiance. Asparagus and grilled calamari appetizers were on point. Pork chops and pesto pasta were amazing. Tiramisu and Lemon cake were a perfect ending. Martino made our special evening a blast. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back very soon.

Food is not fresh at all!!! I do not believe the 5 star reviews here. Do not come here for food or else you will waste your time and money.

Great restaurant, the food is great, and the service is incredibly kind. The restaurant is almost never busy. Remember to ask about a specific dish you might want though, as everything isn't marked on the menu. The specials are very extensive as well.

Love this place. The outdoor patio is fantastic and Martino always helps ensure a great night and meal. Wish we could stop in more often! I had the crab and lobster ravioli which was a perfect entree for me, while my wife really enjoyed the branzino she ordered. Highly recommend giving the place a try, especially mid week when it's a little slower and Martino can spend even more time with you.

All home made including desert, i expected good, i got fenomenal. Doesn't get better than this, ambiance, music, service and people who understand high quality home made food. Coming back next week and can't wait

Food was super yummy, but service was a little slow. We were there however for a large party so it could have been very different if I were there for a typical family dinner. Everyone I spoke with really enjoyed the food! Staff was also very polite.

They offer a nice range of fresh food. I enjoyed eating here. Staff members are always super nice, prices are convenient and the place is always well organised.

Dined with large group of people for a bday. Great menu, Delicious foods. Martino is very welcoming and great! All the servers were great too!!! Authentic food. Osso Bucco with risotto is a must!! Tiramisu was bomb! Highly recommended !!! Will definitely drive 1 hour again to come back......

Martino and the rest of the staff made this dining experience such a pleasure. My man and I got here around 7pm on a Sunday night; it was perfect weather to sit outside by candle light, and the patio is so quaint and cozy. We were immediately brought bread, fresh cheese, a meat plate and dipping oil. Not being from the area, we didn't know it was BYOB, but Martino immediately offered to go to the wine store FOR me. Talk about service! When I politely declined (I didn't want to make him run around on my account) he brought me a glass of his own wine - it was the sweetest and most thoughtful gesture. The food was delicious and was served piping hot. The main menu was extensive but the nightly specials were even more incredible. This will most definitely be a weekly spot for my man and I - we were treated so graciously and the staff went above and beyond. Highly recommend this restaurant!!

I was greeted and treated with warmth and hospitality. The ambiance outside was elegant, comfortable and relaxing. The staff was attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and abundant and stayed hot even after I was finished and asked for a to-go bag! Martino runs his restaurant with great modesty, great food = great experience. A perfect night. ..worth the hour plus ride to meet friends who are moving to Maine. Service was impeccable, not rushed, gave us plenty of time to talk & relax before ordering. Will be back...Martino & his staff (oh yeah, and the delicious food) make for a wonderful dining experience!

First time there and the food and service was excellent.

Exceptional service, excellent food and quaint restaurant. Complimentary appetizer including marinated zucchini, fresh Romano cheese and Italian bread. We ordered an excellent artichoke appetizer, entrees, dessert and complimentary, homemade orangecello. BYOB, I highly recommend it. Also outdoor seating.

What a LOVELY place!! it was like walking into someone’s house and having dinner in the dining room. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The cheese block?? FABULOUS!! We went for my husbands birthday and I’m so glad we did. We will definitely be back soon

My husband and I were looking at restaurants to host our rehearsal dinner. Based on recommendations we went to Il Monello one night and another restaurant another. We left the other restaurant and immediately booked our dinner at Il Monello. The owner, staff, food, atmosphere and overall experience was incomparable. Not only do we love coming for dinner but our rehearsal dinner was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Our guests are still talking about how much food we had, how delicious the food was and how beautiful it was. It far surpasses my expectations. I could not have been happier and I cannot rave enough about Il Monello. It is truly the best!!

From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out we were treated like family. The waiters and Martino are phenomenal. Food was excellent and they pay attention to detail. The environment of the outside dining was welcoming and peaceful. Will most definitely be coming back. Basically, if you want really great food and really great service go to Il Monello’s.

A truly exquisite dining experience. While it's an Italian restaurant, don't expect the usual dishes - and even such "ordinary" fare as a Bolognese sauce is an enticingly complex creation. Our visit began with antipasti distributed to the table even before we saw a menu, including a bruschetta-like zucchini mix and long thin slices of fresh parmesan sliced right off a massive wheel in front of us. The list of daily specials was almost as long as the menu, and all sounded delicious. What we ended up ordering came in incredibly generous portions and everything was delicious. On top of everything else, we had a five-year-old girl in our party and *everyone* in the waitstaff treated her like a princess. Over all an amazing place.

BEST authentic Italian food in the area!!! The food is exceptionally great and the service is top notch. The owner treats you like family! Also, make sure you order the pistachio cake for dessert. Out of this world! Highly recommend dining here!

AMAZING!!! Last night my wife and I spent a wonderful and romantic night for dinner at IL Monello Ristorante. We tried for the first time and honestly we were extra satisfied for our choice! Delicious food with a lot of choices and with superb service, makes us feel very special.Definitely the best restaurant we have ever been, and definitely we will back always at IL Monello!HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you want to have special taste of food and exceptional service!

Casa Maya is always good. They offer attentive and quick service. If you don't want to wait, I suggest you get their no later than 5:30. Weekdays may be better. But weekends, get their early.

Excellent staff. We had the specials, homemade pastas. Each one as good as the other. Maybe a little pricey, but (big but) quality often is. On site parking,very easy to find. If homemade Italian is on the menu, Il Monello might have just what you need

I've been impressed with the food every time I've eaten here. The meatball and crabcake apps are great. The service is always outstanding. The prices are very reasonable, considering the quality and amount.

I had the opportunity to dine at this great restaurant for a late lunch on Saturday afternoon. I have not heard or read anything about the place, but drive past it everyday on the way to work. So my wife and son decided to give it a try. Well we were all very impressed to say the least. The food was outstanding, especially the pork chop special. The sliced cheese from the giant wheel accompanied with salami and grilled eggplant to start was an excellent touch. But what really stood out was the service. The wait staff were impeccable and professional. I haven't seen this level of service anywhere in a really long time. I notice staff actually wait until the only lady at the table had her order ready to be plated, then they brought the rest of our food. The owner/chef visited our table to make sure all was okay. It's details like this and the great food that make this place stand out from the rest. We will definitely go back soon. Outstanding dinning experience!
